Ethiopia

In many respects Ethiopia is unique. The only country on the continent of Africa never to have been colonized, Ethiopia presents cultural, natural and historical opportunities to the traveller to be found nowhere else in the world. Names such as Gondar, Lalibela and Axum resound with a vibrancy that conjures up images of a rich ancient culture, ornate temples, colourful ceremony and tradition. Ethiopia split by the Great Rift Valley offers some of the most spectacular views in Africa. Diverse habitats such as the Bale Mts., and Omo River are home to some unique game species found only in Ethiopia such as the Simien Fox, Menelik's Bushbuck and Mountain Nyala.
